Push go for heat and terrible burning smell. Repeated with just waterin a microwaveable container same result. Filters are clear?

Hello Robert, thank you for your question. We would recommend checking the wiring under the cabinet. Remove the microwave and take the screws off the cabinet that hold it to the unit. Check the thermostats, and any wiring for burns or marks. You can also check in the unit for any covers that may have holes or cracks in them. The covers prevent the micro waves from going into the unit and causing burning and arching. I hope this helps!

Microwave has power, all the lights work, the timer works. But when I push start, it does not power up to heat. The timer comes on but no heating function?????

Thank you for your question. If your microwave will not turn on, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the door switches, the fuse and the door latch. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. Philips head screwdriver to remove 2 screws holding plastic grill above microwave door in place. Old Filter lifts out slide new filter in. It rests on an angle. Re insert Grill (careful that plastic tabs slide into proper slots). Tighten SCrews
The "seal" is a clear plastic sheet that forms the inner most layer of the "window" in the microwave door. If it becomes damaged or doesn't adhere properly, steam and other cooking by-products get inside the door itself. That's what happened in my case. As a result, I had to disassemble the entire door to clean the inside of the glass
... Read moreand other parts. If that cleaning had not been necessary, I could have replaced the seal without disassemblying the door.
To replace the seal, I followed these steps: 1. Used my thumb nail to raise a corner of the old seal. 2. Peeled off the old seal. This leaves a perforated metal layer exposed. 3. Cleaned the metal layer to remove residual adhesive from the old seal. 4. Once the metal layer was dry, my wife and I worked together to peel off the "backing sheet" from the new seal. (One side of the seal has adhesive on it - like the sticky side of tape. After you peal the backing off, the sticky side is exposed.) 5. After we CAREFULLY aligned the seal, I held it while my wife slowly and carefully pressed it into place.
Problems to watch out for: The seal is shipped "folded". This causes a crease to form in the plastic seal, which makes it difficult, if not impossible to install it without leaving any raised places. Note that raised areas in the center probably just look bad. But, raised areas around the edge may prevent a proper "seal" and result in steam, etc., getting inside the microwave door. I receved two separate seals and both had a crease. PartSelect reps were very nice, but were not able to correct the problem.
Unscrew the glass lamp cover and replace the bulb. Very simple. The hardest part was to find the bulb. I looked at my local hardware stores but of course they did not have them. This site was great and easy to order. I looked at 3 other sites before finding this one to be the most simplistic to use.
