Stop beep from the microwave
For model number FGMC3066UFA
Hi Donna,
Thank you for your question. If your microwave is beeping, there are some steps that you can follow to stop it. First, press the clock symbol 2 times. When you see oP-2 come up on the display, press Start. When you see OFF flashing on the display, press Start again and this will turn the beeping off. We hope this helps! I think my fuse has blown on the microwave, but I cannot see how to remove the control panel to access the fuse or switches. There are no screws visible anywhere. I'm guessing it snaps on, but I don't want to pry and break something.

Hello George, thank you for reaching out. To access the fuse and switches, you may need to follow the following instructions. Unplug the appliance. Un-thread the screws from the side and back of the top cover of the microwave. You will see the noise filter there. The fuse is mounted on the noise filter. The switches will be visible on the bracket near the control board. We hope this information helps!

Remove vent cover then remove touch screen control panel. When you remove control panel take photo of where everything is plugged in then unplug and remove control panel. 3 door switches located next to door in a plastic chassis. Test each switch with current tester. Remove the bad switch and replace with the new one. You tube DIY helped.
This was the first time replacing the fan. It is a lot easier to work in the oven compartment with the oven door removed, only two screws on the door and the hinges were released. I found that a couple of the screws were either rusted or stripped so I used a pair of pliers to remove the screws that were holding the diffuser in place. O
... Read morence there was access to the fan I found that the fan was warped and that the blades were scraping against the back wall of the oven. The next challenge was to remove the retaining nut. I used a sheet metal screw to secure the warped fan to keep it from spinning. once I figured out that you have to turn the retaining nut to the right to loosen, it came off easily. 1/2" socket with extension. When I replace the fan I used two washers for spacers to make sure that the fan would not scrape the wall of the oven. Its been tested many times and the oven does not make that horrible sound anymore.
