Heater portion stopped working. Debris could have gotten in from the unit not being covered from the outside. Thoughts?

Hi Angie, Thank you for writing. We suggest testing the Heater Assembly with a multimeter to check the continuity. We hope this helps!
Removed Window Air Conditioner from box purchased New. Plastic Fan Blade was broken when purchased and Appliance store would not repair. Second phase removed cover from the fan area removed and replaced fan blade replaced cover and reinstalled unit into the window case.
