Combination AC & Heat window unit stopped working after a lightning storm in our area 7/20/2022. It had a smoky smell.
For model number FFRH1822R21
Hi Rickey, thank you for asking. A power surge can burn up wires and fuses, cause compressor damage, and can fry your capacitors. We would recommend checking the capacitor, part number PS11700318, to fix the issue. It increases the voltage to the compressor to help the compressor start. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
