My dishwasher has what appears to be a vent in the front of it. However, no steam ever comes out of it! There is a switch for Air Dry or Heat Dry. Either way, the dishes are always wet at the end of the cycle. The heat element works just fine. Why are my dishes always wet? I've read about ventless dishwashers. There is a hole near the bottom of the left wall, but it is in the wall, so I don't think it is intended to catch any condensation. Also, as it does have what appears to be a vent on the outside, I feel it should vent. On the inside of the door (behind the vent) it looks like there could possibly be a way to pop out the plastic to allow steam to leave the dishwasher during the dry cycle, but I am afraid that it looks sealed and therefore don't want to try to push too hard on it. What do you think? Is there a way to get my dishwasher to dry my dishes?

Hello Nanette, thank you for your inquiry. We have researched and found that the heat dry option provides faster drying since the heating element is on during the drying portion of the cycle, whereas the air dry option saves electricity as the heating element is off during the drying portion of the cycle. If your dishwasher is not drying dishes, we would recommend making sure that the liquid rinse aid dispenser is properly filled. If the issue remains, then you may need to check the high limit thermostat, part number PS16218719, to solve the problem. We hope this helps!

Dishwasher won't start. Breaker is good, checked all plugs in the door and underneath, appear to be seated properly. Recently had a latching issue and replaced the door catch but i'm pretty sure it's the latch because it still won't latch itself. Worked fine 12 hours prior. Anything i should check?

Hello Nick, Thank you for your question. Our sources agree that it would be the door latch under part PS12585636 for your model that would need to be replaced to fix the dishwashers issues. We hope this helps.

Melted spray arm resulted in leaky dishwasher
Over Thanksgiving, the spray arm in my dishwasher apparently popped off and was partially melted. I remounted it inside the dishwasher, but the new hole was on the side of the arm. I think this resulted in water being sprayed directly against the door and not up through the top holes. It flooded my kitchen floor.

The spray arm pops on and off with plastic tabs (?) at the base. You can lightly pry with a butter knife or simply wiggle it off. The new one popped right on. Easiest repair EVER.
