I had a repairman check my icemaker, whatever he did it made ice for about 3 weeks, i have replaced the water filter as he suggested but it didn't help. ( i live in an area that has "HARD WATER" ) Would that possibly effect the inlet valve? Also the water dispenser hardly has any output. Could the two problems be related?

The refrigerator has been sitting up not and used for years so we are using it now and it is not staying cold the refrigerator nor the freezer and it will make ice for a while and then it will stop making the ice.
What can I do to keep it cold? Does it need coolant or is there a part that needs to be ordered? Do I need to call a repairman?

If both the Fresh Food Section and Freezer are not cooling, the compressor and both fans are running, we suggest testing the Defrost Thermostat, Temperature Thermostat Assembly and the Defrost Heater. They can be checked with a multimeter to check continuity. We hope this helps!
Thanks to the pictorial diagram, I was able to order correct parts. It was just a matter of removal of broken parts and replacing them. Ice maker now working and air is no longer getting into freezer which was freezing up ice maker. Thanks for timely delivery, now I am able to use ice dispenser, which I haven't used for long time.
