hi. I'm getting an error of "dC" on my dryer. I recently change the heat assembly. The old one broke. I'm a bit confused if I should change the door switch or the door detection sensor. I'm not certain if they are the same. I'm thinking they are not based on the owner's manual. Thank you.
For model number DVE50M7450W
Hi El, thank you for reaching out. This error code indicates a problem with the door, most commonly the door switch, part number PS4210965. Check the door latch to see if it fits into its slot correctly and the door is firmly closed. If the door is closed properly and still the error appears, then you have a defective door switch, and need to be replaced to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!

Dryer run for about 10 minutes then stops heating any tips
For model number DVE50M7450W
Hi Randy, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, the issue might be with the heating element, part number PS4205218, or the high-limit thermostat, part number PS11741822. The thermostat might be cutting the gas supply prematurely, even before the burner temperature exceeds the safe operating temperature. We would recommend checking these parts for continuity using a multimeter. We hope this helps, good luck with the repair!

Dryer wasn’t heating
Well it went really well until the dryer was put back together as it still didn’t heat. The dryer was taken apart again. This time the thermistors &fuse was tested. Alas, the new fuse was faulty. After putting the car lid fuse back on n, the dryer worked again

Loud noise like boots being ran through the dryer
YouTube, YouTube, YouTube. I YouTubed many videos on how to take a dryer apart to reach the drum support roller and axle. After watching numerous videos, I settled on one that had my exact model of dryer. For my dryer, previous inputs said I needed two rollers to for my model. That is not the case. My model actually has 4 rollers, 2 in th

e front and two in the back. I ordered 2 initially but only needed 1 thankfully since only one roller was bad. Keep it simple stupid is how I got it done. Dryer's are pretty simple machines mechanically. Don't trash your noisy dryer. We bought ours in 2014 and it only recently started giving us issues. This is after 2 moves and being run daily for a family of 6. I'm glad I found partselect.com. They saved me a ton of money.
