how often does part DY 91618805 need to be replaced?

Thank you for your question. Your owner's manual recommends washing the filters every 3 months in cold water. We hope this helps!

Can you please tell me where this part goes on my DC25? I took the cyclone apart to clean it and was able to put it back together. I took the bottom section that houses the brush roller apart and found this small spring left over and couldn't figure out where it went. I've emailed Dyson's customer support but apparently they can't seem to understand what I'm asking. Thank you!

Hello Tammy, Thank you for your inquiry. We show the pedal spring attaches onto the peg on the right side of the pedal assembly and allows traction for the pedal. Good luck with your repair.
