A110-J Jenn-Air Range - Instructions

It's wonderful to get accessories for this 20 year old Jenn-Air. I love it and now it looks like new.

part came quickly and fit perfect... everything works great...pretty simple repair... nice to have the right part and have it arrive so quickly

The contact spades were burned from 10+ years of use and the cook top module was worn. I disassembled the module, taped the top to protect the creamic cook top, sanded the metal and spray painted to restore the original white finish. On the bottom half I replaced one missing pop rivet and cleaned and spray painted the bottom to restore to the original black. When the contact spades arrived, I replaced the contact spades and reassembled the module. It now works and looks like it did when it was new.

Remove modular element from cooktop,place upright on bench and remove sheet metal screws. Lift glass/rim subassembly from modular heating unit (screwdriver may be required to carefully pry glass/rim assembly from heating unit) as it may be a tight fit. Inspect exposed heating unit for any noticeable damage, clean any debris resulting from cooking spills, etc. Use caution in cleaning area around heating elements so as to not damage insulation. Install new glass/rim assembly using original screws. Do not overtighten screws as this may distort the sheet metal assemblies. Install in cooktop and test for proper function.

Simple plug in.

Unplugged and removed the old grill element by hand and installed the replacement element by plugging it into the socket. Tools were not required for this and it took less than five minutes. The new element is great and heats much better than the original did before it broke.

Just replaced old with new, it plugs in same as old.

After examining the burner unit I noticed that one of the male contact spades was burned and look deformed. After removing the spade I discovered that it had been originally manufactured incorrectly. I went on line to try and find the part. I found it at this site . I ordered 2 of the spades and replaced the deformed spade and another one that looked like it had gotten a little hot. She tried the unit and it worked perfectly. She had not used that burner unit for a very lengthy time. The investigation of the problem took a little time, but the repair went very fast. Moral is :" If a spade doesn't look right, it probably isn't", but either the individual spade or plug can be replaced. This site is now my "GO TO" place for parts.

Dishwasher front still leaking

I have a newer jenn air with the 3 prong elements. The original element was 3 prong 1900W only using one of the controls. Since the stove socket would accommodate 4 prongs I looked up the part for the older stoves (PS2357533)which had 2 elemants using both controls. The element plugged right in and I now have high heat like on my older models and it now grills like it should instead of just heating the stuff up. Highly recommended. One caution you will need a metal piece to support the element since the newer stoves do not use the metal bricketts with supports.

took new element out of box, inserted it into stovetop, everything was over in about 2 minutes. It worked just fine.
