Is it okay to lay this air compressor on its side while i move it?

Hello Gene, thank you for your question. If it is a new air compressor being transported home from the store for the first time, it typically can be laid down with no problem. That same compressor, after being in use for some, may create maintenance problems if the compressor is laid down. I hope this helps.

I drained the oil from this air compressor and there were 8 ounces drained. The manual says that this model takes 16 ounces. Could there be more oil in the tank or does it take less oil?

Hi Bill, thank you for reaching out. Your model has a crankcase oil capacity of 16 fluid ounces. If you drained only 8 ounces, it suggests that the oil level was significantly low. This could be due to under filling during the last oil change or oil loss over time through leaks or normal operation. Inspect the compressor for any signs of oil leaks, especially around the oil drain plug and other seals. Regularly check the oil level to ensure it remains at the proper level. If you suspect there might still be oil trapped in the system, you can try tilting the compressor slightly to ensure all oil drains out before refilling. We hope this information helps!

Perseverance-after having a hard time removing drain cock , oil drain and oil fill I could not exactly see where air filter was located, Found Air filter Pulled it out with needle nose pliers and could not find one locally. Luckily I found this site ordered filter and they shipped right away. Got my filter and the old Air Compressor
