our dishwasher fills with water like it is suppoe to when you hit the start button but then nothing happens after that.

Thank you for your question. If your dishwasher will not start, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. We recommend checking the door latch and switches, the electronic control board, the thermal fuse and the motors. Removed spray arm thumb nut. Removed spray arm. replaced worn and broken earings and re-assembled in reverse order. Would have done the repair a lot sooner if I had known that PartsSelect was just a few miles up the highway.
Installed new door seal. Dishwasher still leaked. Googled the model number and then cleaned the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher, still leaked. Verified that manifold bearing was not work. It was OK. Found note that a plugged vent might cause leaking door. Very counterintuitive. Pried off air vent cover. Vent was tho
... Read moreuroughly plugged with calcium deposts from steam. Cleaned these out. Dishwasher no longer leaks.
