I have a Kenmore dishwasher model number 665.14573n611.You push start button and select the wash cycle you want. You shut door and hit start button again and dishwasher starts filling with water. After it is done you hear all kind of clicking under the dishwasher but it does not start washing or arms do not start moving inside the dishwasher. Then a short period of time passes and it drains itself and then fills itself again and it does that while the wash cycle timer is counting down, but does not start up washing in dishwasher. I was thinking that I might have a bad motor pump. I was wondering if your might have any ideas on what my problem could possibly be. Thanks so very much for your time.

Hello Justin, Thank you for the question. You may need to do a Hard Reset to reset the cycle timer. unplug the dishwasher, then wait at least 30 seconds before plugging it back into the outlet. The hard rest should force the circuit board to shut down long enough to make all sequences work correctly once the dishwasher is plugged in again. We hope this helps!

how do you take out the drain cover.

Hello Mark, thank you for contacting us. On the inside of the dishwasher, there is a drain filter instead of a cover. The attached video can show you how to remove the drain filter. We hope this is what you were looking for!

I need a part number. Part hooks upper rack to the wheel glide. The part is on the rack. Where it goes into wheel broken off.

Thank you for your question. The part you are referring to is the rack adjuster. The rack adjusters listed for your dishwasher have been redesigned by Whirlpool, so they are now made of metal instead of plastic. They are sold in a kit that includes both the left and right sides. The part number for the rack adjuster kit is PS10065979. We hope this helps!
Will not drain. I've replaced the pump, checked and cleared all hoses and it still will not drain. What could be the problem? I don't want to get a new dishwasher.

Hello Kelly, thank you for getting in touch. If you have replaced the pump and cleared all hoses, and the dishwasher still will not drain, the issue is likely with the dishwasher's float switch. We would recommend checking the float switch, part number PS11750031, to solve the problem. It detects water levels and prevents overfilling. If faulty, it can prevent proper draining. We are unable to run the dishwasher. The control buttons won't do anything. The time display is blank and there is a couple flashing letters no matter what buttons you push. I have reset power several times with the same results. Can you help? Thanks.

Pulled dishwasher from under counter, attached link to spring, hooked spring back into frame/chassis, threaded link through pulleys, attached other end of link onto door, reinstalled dishwasher under counter. All's well. Note-I purchased an extra link anticipating that the other one will fail. They're cheap enough.
Caviat: The actual repair is less than 15 minutes, but I spent a lot of time playing with it before I figured out it was that easy and fast. You don't need to remove the dishwasher from the counter to do this. And it will probably help to look at the new part closely so you can understand where the retainer clip is to press it and release

First remove the water from the dishwasher pan that would not drain with a wet/dry vac. Otherwise the water will all drain on the floor when you remove the pump. Then remove the two screws on the kickplate on the front of the unit below the door. Remove the kickplate/maintainence access cover. The drain pump is on the right about 8 inches in. Using two hands you grasp the drain pump with your right hand and use the left hand to push the retaining clip down. Then the drain pump will rotate 1/4 turn counterclockwise and can be removed without pulling the dishwasher out. There is likely to be some water leak out that was traped in the pump housing that you can not reach with the vac. Disconnect the wire. Connect the wire to the new pump, put it in place and 1/4 turn clockwise to install it. Replace the kickplate and you're done.

2. Remove the kick plate under the door. May have to lower unit by turning the feet using the adjustable wrench.

4. There is a spring and nylon rope link on both sides of the unit. Probably just one link is broken, but the replacement comes with two, so you can replace both or save one as a spare. Look at the good side and it should be pretty self explanatory how it attaches. I found it easiest to first thread the link around the lower pulley, then attach the link to the spring, then spring to the rear support, then the link to the door.
