smells like something burning in machine when it is in the baking mode
For model number 5891
Hello Grace, thank you for getting in touch. The burning smell is most likely caused by spilled ingredients flour, sugar, oil, or small pieces of dough that escaped the bread pan during kneading and settled on the heating element or chamber floor. Once the baking cycle starts these deposits scorch and produce that burning odor. The fix is a straightforward cleaning. Once the unit is completely cold, remove the bread pan and look down into the baking chamber. Use a soft dry brush or vacuum hose attachment to remove any loose flour or crumbs, then wipe down the heating element and chamber floor with a lightly damp cloth and a small drop of mild dish soap. We hope this helps.
