Capacitor

This capacitor is also known as a run capacitor, and it is most often used in refrigerators and freezers. This part provides the voltage or energy current required to start the compressor and keep it running. It allows the compressor in your appliance to easily cycle on and off. Doing so enables the appliance to effortlessly maintain its internal temperature. If the capacitor is faulty your refrigerator or freezer might be too warm, or you may notice the compressor will hum, but it will not run. When replacing your capacitor, you should check the old one for any signs of damage, overheating, or arcing, as that may suggest there is a bigger problem with your appliance.

If you are experiencing symptoms such as the fridge making loud noises (generally stemming from the freezer compartment), or the fridge/freezer feeling warm in temperature, this may indicate a need to replace your evaporator fan motor. This part pulls air into the evaporator coils and then disperses the air in a continuous motion throughout the refrigerator and freezer.

Light Socket Kit

The light socket in your refrigerator houses the light bulb and connects it to the power source. If your refrigerator light is not coming on when you open the door, you may need to replace the light socket. Before you replace the light socket, be sure that your light bulb is in working condition, as this may solve the same problem. This light socket kit comes with 2 wire connectors, a light shield, and the new socket. The wire connectors that come with this kit are included so your new socket can replace a variety of old ones. If this light socket is different than your original, you will need to use the connectors to make it fit your refrigerator. Be sure to follow the instructions provided, so this part will fit your refrigerator properly.
