Removed rear wheels, cut the old axel of with a sawsall and pulled the assembly out as I didn't want chance breaking the plastic retaining tabs as they can become brittle from age. Break the tabs and you have nothing to hold the new axel assembly in place. Snapped the new assembly in place and put the wheels back on.
