Need to replace drive cable, have the part. Lower end connection is above the transmission and inaccessible. Any shortcuts to get at it, without having to take the whole back end of the mower apart?

Hi Jeremy,
Thank you for your question. You will need to remove the blade and the belt cover. Then you will need to loosen the secondary cover and unhook the spring with needle nose pliers. Then cut off the plastic cable retainers on the old cable and remove it. Reattach the new cable and make sure the belt is around the pulleys. Then reassemble and adjust the cable by following the directions in your owner's manual. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!
lift mower up on angle, sip beer. took the cotter pin out of both sides. Finished beer. try to figure out how they go on, opened another beer. Figured it out, put cotter pin back on lowered the mower, drank on the new beer. Wheels adjusted just fine.. Thanks...
