My dryer quit blowing hot air I need a fuse? Everyone said start there if not that the heating element so can I get both part numbers. Thanks

Hi Natalie, thank you for reaching out. The part you are looking for is the dryer thermal fuse, part number PS11741460. To test the fuse, please remove the two wire leads from the thermal fuse and touch a multimeter probe to each wire terminal on the fuse. Any reading less than infinity indicates a triggered thermal fuse and you will need to replace it. If you get a reading of infinity, the fuse is fine. If the fuse is good, the heating element, part number PS334313, is a likely culprit. If the issue persists, you may need to check the thermal cut-off kit, part number PS334299. We hope this sorts out your problem!
I have a large red wire on the bottom near the heater coil, that has been hot, blackened. And I keep blowing a fuse that won't allow the drum to turn or the blower to come on but the heater coil still comes on. I need to find out where that red wire goes to so I can hopefully figure out why it got so hot and why I keep blowing limit fuse

Hi Michael, thank you for contacting us. The thick red wire connects the heating element terminal to the thermal cut-off fuse and high limit thermostat, then traces back through the wiring harness to the motor switch and control board. If the connector on the element or thermostat terminal became slightly loose, it creates high electrical resistance. At 240V, that resistance generates intense localized heat which burns the wire insulation, turns it black, and can eventually melt it entirely. To diagnose this, remove the heater box assembly and inspect the coils closely inside. If any part of the spring-like coil is touching the metal housing, or if the coil is broken and resting against the metal, the heating element needs to be replaced. The part you need is the Dryer Heating Element, part number PS334313. Glad to be of assistance!

Hi Frank, thank you for getting in touch. If your dryer's heating element turns on but the drum doesn't spin, the most common culprit is a broken drive belt, part number PS346995. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!

Hi Frank, thank you for your inquiry. Check the dryer idler pulley and drum support rollers, part number PS373087. If these are worn or seized, they create too much resistance for the motor to turn the belt, causing it to slip or the motor to stall. Glad to be of help!
Lint filter supplied by Parts Select was an exact replacement by an aftermarket manufacturer. I put the old one and the new one side by side and they were identical (of course, the handle wasn't broken off on the new one!). I coulnd't be happier. It arrived at my house 2 days after I ordered it. I highly recommend Parts Select.

I tested that it was seated correctly by pulling it out and reseating it in the slot. The true test came when I ran my first load of laundry through the dryer. The total repair time for this fix was 14.92 seconds.
