This item is sold individually. The fiber sink flange gasket works with your food waste disposer. This part creates a seal that prevents any water from leaking. It is positioned between the sink flange and the disposal mounting ring. The flange may break apart over time and cause leaking and will need to be replaced. The flange gasket is donut shaped and is 4 inches in diameter. Before beginning this repair make sure the power to the food waste disposer has been disconnected. This is an OEM part that is obtained right from the manufacturer.

Leaky GE Disposall
Mount Ring was very difficult to remove. Hammer needed to unlock. Once removed, rubber and fiber gaskets were easily replaced. Cushion Mount did not attach properly to sink flange after many attempts, so Mount Ring was placed too high for hopper to attach. The cushion mount was finally placed on flange correctly (not sure why it attached incorrectly previously) but all is well with no leaks. Dishwasher hose needed to be re-attached after hopper mounted and locked in position.

Splash Guard

This is a black flexible rubber cover that is over the top of the sink drain, used for your food waste disposer. It keeps liquids and smaller food particles from splashing back into the sink. The splash guard can become worn out over time and may need to be replaced. Make sure to disconnect the power before beginning your repair. This part is 3.75 inches in length, 3.75 inches in width, 0.75 inches in height and weighs 0.119 lbs. Remove the drain pipe from the disposal, and turn the mounting ring. Remove the old cover with a screwdriver and place the new one into place.

Tailpipe Gasket

This is a garbage disposer tailpipe gasket. It is black in color and measures about 2 inches in diameter. This gasket is meant to create a watertight and airtight seal around the tailpipe on your appliance. If your garbage disposer is leaking, your gasket may have been compromised. Rubber gaskets lose their elasticity over time which causes them to be frail and prone to cracking. This gasket is sold separately, so you may want to consider ordering a spare. This is a genuine OEM replacement part that is sourced directly from the original manufacturer.

Leak at disposer drain connection
Disconnected the disposer elbow and replaced the gasket. But, the original elbow would not make a watertight connection. Replaced the elbow with one having a tapered connection... problem solved. Most of the time was spent going to the hardware to find a new elbow that would work.
