This kit includes a metal body carburetor and a plastic lever. Please note gaskets are sold separately. Cub Cadet Tiller Engine Carburetor Overhaul Kit
Removed and disassembled carb. Needed new gaskets and seals, and had to clean corn syrup glaze (separated ethanol) from bowl and everywhere else with carb cleaner.
Throttle linkage was de-plating/rusty. Steel wool and WD40 got it moving again.
Cleaned spark plug electrode.
Reassembled, poured Sea Foam in the bottom of the tank and gave it a few pulls.
Let Sea Foam sit for a while, then filled the tank with Premium.
Blew white smoke for a minute then ran like new. Shredded for a while, then changed the oil. Read more...

Mistreated Briggs & Stratton 206 CC Engine on MTD Chipper
Removed tank and drained old gas.Removed and disassembled carb. Needed new gaskets and seals, and had to clean corn syrup glaze (separated ethanol) from bowl and everywhere else with carb cleaner.

This is an Genuine OEM replacement part used on Gas-Powered Handheld Trimmers. The purpose of this part is to mix air and gas before the fuel mix goes to the engine. If the engine won't start and the tank is full of fresh fuel, test the carburetor by removing the air filter and pouring about a teaspoon of fuel into the carburetor. Pull the starter rope. If the engine starts and then quickly dies, the carburetor is likely the problem. This Assembly includes a Metal Body Carburetor with Rubber Primer Bulb and Two (2) Rubber Fuel Lines. When replacing Carburetor it is advised that you also replace Carburetor Gaskets to ensure proper Air Tight Seal for optimum performance. You will need a Screwdriver to perform this repair.

Sold individually, this part can fail due to fatigue and wear, and if it is broken you may notice your engine is running rough or not starting. If your engine exhibits these signs of being starved of fuel, your diaphragm is damaged and needs to be replaced.

Replace fuel diaphragm, fuel pickup tube and air cleaner
This 5hp B&G was manufactured in 1985! Had been garage kept and always dependable. After 10 years of non use the carb wasn't getting gas. Removed air cleaner box, muffler and crankcase breather to easily remove carb, replace parts and reassemble.
