Chainsaw Tension Slide The tension slide is part of the chain tensioner and is where the tension screw sits. When the adjuster turns it moves the tensioner to tighten or loosen the chain bar. Be careful not to over tighten as this can cause damage to the tensioner's parts. To access this part, you will need to remove the brake assembly bar and chain, and then the metal cover from the brake assembly. Then remove the adjuster bolt assembly from the housing. Always refer to your owner's manual for complete instructions.
