door catch would not latch
Well tried to find this simple part around Columbus and even maytag website no luck.Parts select had it to go and arrived earlier than expected.Fixed it less than 5 minutes works great.taken longer to put the light bulb back in,Really like the accuracy and quick response from parts select. If I had called a service tech probably would have cost $50.00 or more for a part that cost a little over $3.00 and saved this site in case I need to order other parts.Thank you
Remove front panel of dyer, pry open with srew driver,be careful not damage enamel. Remove drive belt, pull drum forward and out. Drum glide are located at bottom of drum rest, rollers at rear of dyer.
My 11 year old daughter broke the door clasp to the dryer by repeatedly slamming it trying to get it to close. I told her to go down stairs write down the make model and serial number and come back up and find a place to buy it online. I left with instructions not to use the computer for anything else until the part was found. Less then 15 minutes later I came back because I heard giggling. She was chatting but had found an exploded view of the door and the part. She was very pleased with herself! We bought it and it arrived a few days later. I saw the empty box. She had opened it and taken it down and installed it herself. A good lesson, for her and me
Original lint filter frame was broken in two places and fabric was torn
We pulled out the old lint filter, cleaned out all the lint that had gotten down inside the dryer due to the broken filter. We then replaced it with the new filter. It is now drying much better and the lint is not getting down inside the machine any longer.
Used retatining ring pliers to remove the old blower wheel. Cleaned excess lint from that area and installed the new blower wheel by tapping it on with the aid of some PVC pipe to span the axle. Replaced the retaining ring...about 30 minutes ...easy and well worth it...The part purchase and selection was easy, and delivery was fast...glad these guys are around...thanks
Killed the power, used socket set, installed new one. Needed wire cutters and stripper, to put new terminal ring. Reconnected everything. Took about 20 minutes.

Dryer will not start. No light in tub for tub.
Process of elimination. Replaced heating element and high limit heat thermostat . Replaced door button switch and timer. Still not working. Replaced control thermostat, and still not working. Purchased ohm meter and checked thermal fuse that comes with high limit kit. Bad thermal fuse. Replaced thermal fuse that comes with kit. Dryer now has tub light and working fine. Learning to use an ohm meter really helps, and will save you a lot of frustration.

the frame of the lint filter was cracked
well.....first I opened the dryer door and pulled out the old cracked lint filter...then I took the new lint filter out of the plastic bag and put it in the dryer......and then I closed the dryer door.....then I had a beer.
The old door catch broke and fell into the unit. Ordered the new part which arrived fast and snapped it into place. Perfect fit and the door now closes/latches correctly - like new again. Would recommend your web site to all do-it-yourselfers. Loved browsing your site, especially seeing all of the schematics and parts list for my unit.
Removed the old lint filter and slid in the new one. It took me longer to get the box open to get the new lint filter out than it did to actually replace the part.
