Product Description
Lint Filter Specifications
This is an OEM lint filter for a dryer. This lint filter screen has two side guides on either of the screen. One measures 3/8 of an inch wide, while the other measures 5/8 of an inch wide. This part is white and is made of plastic. You may need to replace the filter if the plastic is broken or warped. Simply slide the lint filter out of the slot and slide the replacement filter in. The lint filter collects lint from drying clothes and prevents lint from building up in internal moving parts, specifically the heating coil. Neglecting to clean your lint filter is a fire hazard, be sure to clean it on a regular basis.

How do I clean the complete dryer filter not just the filter it self ?
For model number Pyet344ayw

Hi Howard, Thank you for the question. To clean the lint duct you will need to remove the front panel of the dryer and vacuum out the duct. Hope this helps!

My lint filter doesn't fit down into the opening all the way and I have had clothes catch on the corner of the filter and either tear the cloth or twist it, like washcloths, etc. Not sure if it has warped over the years? I just bought this house with this dryer in it. Works fine except for this.
For model number CDG7000W

Hi Janet, thank you for your inquiry. If your lint trap will not slide into its slot properly anymore, there are three reasons why. The lint trap is warped, your filter is dirty, and something is stuck inside the filter slot. To give the area a check, unplug the dryer and remove the lint trap. Shine a flashlight down in the hole to see if you can see an obstruction or if it needs to be cleaned; if it is warped, you need to replace it with part number PS11742807 to fix this issue. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!

No Heat
Lift the top. Remove (2) screws holding the front of the dryer in place. Lift the front off the 2 retaining clips on the bottom of the dryer. The hardest part of the install was removing and replacing the igniter. A couple of helping hands from the girlfriend to hold the parts in place while I replaced the two screws was very helpfull. Installing the multi rib belt was also very easy with the help of a second pair of arms to reach under the drum to thread the belt onto the tensioner. The lint filter, of coarse was just a matter of throwing the old cracked one away and replacing w/ the new.

Brooken lint filter and door seal
It was easy - I had my 12yr old daughter do it. The old door seal was completely removed, then you placed the new seal in the apropriate knoches that are on the door of the dryer. The lint filter just had to be placed in the vent. - Done.

It wouldn't start
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element completely out and disconnected the two wires.
From there it was just a matter of installing the new part.

Dry was heating intermittently at first and then stopped heating.
I first confirmed that the ingitor was working (because I could see it glow with the lights off at the bottom of dryer). I read within Parts Select that intermittent heating was likely the coils and that I could test their resistance to confirm that this was the problem. I removed the coils (very easy) and thenI checked their resistance with a tester. The resistance on one of them was reading 600 ohms instead of the required 1300 ohms. So I replaced them both and presto it works fine. I also took the opportunity to thoroughly clean out the lint (accessible with the front panel removed) and I replaced the lint filter which was ripped and the gasket around the door which was missing a piece. All very easy to do and parts select made it a cinch. For safety I made sure that the gas and electric were off before I did any of this work. oh, I also levelled the foot which made my wife happy.
