Lower baking element would not heat up.Your online instructions said to remove the two screws and pull out the heating element about 3 inches and disconnect. When I did this the element came out but not where it was connect to the wire., I could not locate the wire from the front of the oven. I then pulled out the oven from the built in cabinet and removed the rear panel. Then inserted the element with the 2 screws from the front and connect the wires to the element from the back of the oven. Jim Read more...
Oven Light Socket
PartSelect Number PS439060
Manufacturer Part Number 316116400The oven light socket allows you to screw in a light bulb so that you can see the inside of your oven. The light socket is located in the back of your oven, so you will need to remove the back panel to access the socket for the repair. You will also need to remove the current light bulb and the light lens cover so that the old socket can be removed. As you will be working around electrical circuits for this repair, be sure to disconnect the power source from the oven before you begin work on the oven.

Oven light receptacle broken - bulb base broke offTurned power off at electrical panel. Pulled oven away from wall. Removed back cover (6 screws), then unplugged wires from old receptacle. I had to pull the squeeze clips backwards & break them to remove the old receptacle - couldn't squeeze them enough to remove them otherwise. The old receptacle came out through the inside of the oven, and the new one snapped in easily from inside the oven as well. Replaced wiring, installed new bulb, restored power & tested. Replaced back cover. Good time to vacuum under/behind where the oven usually lives before sliding it back to the wall. Read more...

Indicator Light Lens
PartSelect Number PS1765368

The indicator light signifies when the element is on and heated. This part is sold individually. It is recommended to check other red indicator lights in case they need to be replaced because they often wear at the same rate. It is difficult to see the light without the red lens. This part does not include the light. If your light does not illuminate, you may want to consider ordering the light as well. Tools required for this repair are a 1/4 inch nut driver and a stubby Phillips screwdriver.

Oven temperature ran very highWhen the part arrived, I open the box. Cut off my breaker to the range. Pulled back the stove and unscrewed the back. Located the probe, unscrewed the one screw that held it in. I then unclamped the white connectors, remove the old probe, replaced it with the new one reclamped the connectors. Screwed it back into the range. Replaced the back and screwed that back together. It was so easy I was very proud of my self. I cut the breaker back on and cooked a can of biscuits just to see if it really worked. And it did. My bread was not burned, it was cooked to perfection. Read more...
