Water contamination on the selector board. Dishwasher would not run
The wife damaged the latch assembly, so that had to be replaced. The control assembly comes with all of the PCBs, already connected together. This is very straight forward. Unplug the dishwasher.

The front panel (with the handle) will come off. Set it aside. Remove the two latch screws and the whole electronics assembly will come free. There are only five or so connections to swap on the largest of the three PCBs. Simply lay your new board next to the old, oriented in the same manner, then start pulling connectors off the old and onto the new until complete. Unscrew the control and indicator boards, and screw in the new ones. One note on the latch assembly. My new one was shipped in the "closed" position. If you replace yours, make sure the receive is open before you install or your will likely be taking it apart again. Reassemble the door. With the door open (ajar), plug the dishwasher back in and test the on/off and selector buttons. That's it.

how do you ensure the latch is in the unlocked position. replaced and it will not engage
For model number GLDT690D00WW
Hello Deb, thank you for reaching out. According to our understanding, we would recommend checking that the latch is properly installed. If the issue persists, then you may need to replace the micro switch, part number PS12342785. It detects when the door is closed so the dishwasher can start. Glad to be of assistance!
