I am not sure if I should change the motor on my washer. It made a weird sound while no one was using the washer. We looked underneath our washer and we found oil. Should I replace the motor? Or is it something else that I should look at?

Hi Angela, Thank you for your question. If there is oil leaking underneath your washer, it would be coming from the washer gearcase, part number PS12298171. This has a belt and clutch assembly which runs the washer. If you remove the front panel from the washer and find this area covered in oil, then the gearcase is leaking and you will need to replace it. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Will not agitate. Shaft the auger sits on is not stripped, but can hear the motor run. Will drain and spin just fine. Unplugged the washer waited and plugged back in. Lifted the lid 6 times after unplugged. Not sure what the problem?

Hello Chad, thank you for your question. We have researched your model and found that the issue is probably with the Drive Belt, part number PS11767488. If that does not take care of the issue, then the problem is most likely to be related to the Auger, part number PS16226232. If you require assistance to place an order, please contact customer service. We hope that helps!

Starts wash cycle then stops.Went though the binary codes. I tried the spin test it starts then stops. The fault code comes up .. . . . And there's no code on my paper for that. Check the lid switch it's fine. Any answers. Thanks

Hi Bryan, thank you for your question. We would suggest checking the water supply lines to the washer. Make sure there is no clogging or blockage in the inlet valve or the main water supply valve. If the issue remains, the problem might be with the main control board, part number PS16874148. You may check the control board for continuity using a multimeter. We hope this information helps!

Washer seems to agitate correctly but does not spin at full speed. Clothes are still soaked after spin cycle. Spin light flashes even if there are no clothes in the washer.

Hello Tommy, thank you for your question! Check the drain hose, drain pump, and any filters or coin traps that could be blocked. Other causes of clothes still being wet after the spin cycle include an unbalanced washer. Too much clothing can create an imbalance in the washer tub that reduces spin speeds, leaving clothes wet. If this does not help, we recommend replacing the drain pump, part number PS12723115. The washer will not spin if it cannot drain properly. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Won’t spin out…changed lid lock with new harness, new clutch, belt, pulley and shift motor. Starts just fine, agitates, but “hums/growls” at the spin cycle.

Hi Chet, thank you for contacting us. We believe your washer is having this problem because of the faulty drive motor, part number PS11759153. It spins the spin basket and drives the agitator or spin basket in the agitation or tumbling mode. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this helps!
