Tub well not turn if i help it start to turn it runs good do i need a new motor?
For model number MED6400TB0
Hi Garry,
Thank you for your question. If the dryer is not tumbling, the ,motor is just one part you will need to check. There are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the motor pulley, the idler pulley, the blower wheel, the drive belt, the tri-rings, the motor clamp, the drum support roller shaft and the internal bias-thermostat. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I have a Whirlpool cabrio dryer for almost 10 years now. The dumb stopped spinning few days ago. I looked on your website for possible issues and solutions. I took the dryer apart and think i found out what the problem is. There is a part inside the "motor drive" that has a 'metal spring tension" is broken. I found the metal tension to the side of the motor drive. There are two of these tension. One is still intact which tell me that the one i found came from this part. I took pictures of it and wondering if i can email to you to see if i can just replace this "part" instead of buy a whole new "motor drive". Thank you.
For model number WED6200SW1
Hi Shua,
Thank you for your question. Where the springs are part of the motor, you will need to purchase the motor. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
