This part looks almost exactly like about a 4 1/2-inch long nail, head and everything. Well, without the point on it. If the part attached to the door had a hole on each end for the pin to slide through it would not have worked at all because of the nailhead on one end. So what is up with that anyway? The part received looked nothing like what was listed on the website, nor looked anything like what was on the installation video.

I started by using some superglue to reattach the broken mounting ring for the pin above the ice door flap. Wait a few minutes for the glue to set (I waited about 2 hours.) Ice make would not dispense out the front door.
Unpluged the unit and removed the front trim ring.
removed the old parts and installed the new parts.
in reverse order. it took about 12 hour but the dispenser to work but seems to work fine now.
