WWSS2614SS1 Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

Remove plastic cover from freezer door by sliding upwards and disconnect wire harness.
Disconnect wire harness from refrigerator to module.
Unscrew 3 x philips screws securing the module frame in the door.
Remove the plastic water tube from the dispenser module.
My water tube was perished and leaking, so I replaced it ... Read more with 6mm diameter automotive vacuum hose and secured it to the water line spigot with a zip-tie. (Note: the module I ordered does not come with a water tube).
Re-assembly is the reverse of the above.

Unplugged fridge from outlet. Removed rear panel on freezer side. Removed defrost thermostat from tube and cut wires. Installed new thermostat by matching color coded wires and crimping with supplied connectors and snap back on tube. Reinstalled panel and shelving.

Went the typical route of part replacement since I don't own an ohm meter...pull and replace one part at a time. Started with the cheaper parts first, replaced the freezer fan for $40, same problem. Replaced the defrost heater element for $40, same problem. Replaced the thermostat $15 and controller board $150 at same time, bingo problem ... Read more solved. Had to defrost with the hair dryer each time, biggest pain. Had an issue finding a Utube that showed the water filter system and thermistor removal for this model, otherwise straightforward, but not a 30 minute job.

I replaced the water valve, but it still did not fix the problem.The old water valve I took out I'm assuming worked fine, I think the real problem is ice building up in pipe or some other blockage.

removed ice maker box and disassembled crusher unit on front of box and installed new housing.

Followed instructions from others on the blog. Shut off water and electricity to the refrigerator. Removed the cardboard plate. Removed the old water valve. The fault code HI or H1 would periodically appear. Evap coil and fan would freeze over. I replaced evap fan motor, run capacitor, defrost thermostat, and temp sensor with no luck. Watched YouTube video. Very easy. Used my cell phone camera in ‘selfie’ mode propped up in the upper right hand corner of freezer to see the 2 hidden screws.

No problem, I Just pushed the plastic pin to the old support studs into the frig wall using a small screw driver and hammer and with pliers pulled the studs out to the wall of the frig being careful not to damage the wall. Then with pliers {needle nose} pulled the plastic pin out of the wall. Pushed the new support studs in the hole and ... Read more tapped the plastic pin with a small hammer into the support stud. removed rear cover, removed screws, diconnected water line connections, cut off old water line connection, installed new compression water line connection, replace screws in water line housing, replace rear cover.

I removed the screws that held the the ice dispencer from the bin. I than removed three screws from the bottom of the bin. I put the new plastic piece on the end of the spiral piece that
pushes the ice. I inserted the spiral piece back into the hole. I than screwed the ice dispencer
to the bin and re-inserted it back in the refr ... Read more igerator.
It took me about 5 to 10 minutes. It's really easy!

Ordered a new shelf which arrived very fast. Installed in no time at all as it just slides in and rests on brackets. No tools needed and the new part looks just like the original.

I went on line and presto! Ordered the part! It came in the mail just two days later and I popped it into place! Thank you for such service!
