Direct replacement
Integrated fan & motor is super easy to remove and install. Microwave itself is removed by supporting the front of it with one hand while removing the 3 long screws in the floor of the cabinet above that hang the front of the unit with the other and a screw gun (the screws are about 3" long machine thread so use a screw gun). The rear is hung on a metal cleat permanently installed on the rear wall and so is taking most of the weight while unscrewing the 3 cabinet screws. Then pivot the front down,, feed the power cord through the cabinet and then lift the entire unit out. After on the work bench or table the actual fan swap-out is as easy as it gets. Just remove the one screw securing the duct plate with flapper and slide the plate to disengage the slide locks and lift out. Then remove the one screw on the back of the microwave near the duct plate you just removed and lift the fan out enough to unplug the power connector. That's it. Put the new fan in by reversing steps. The one oddity in mine was that there was no hole pre-drilled in the new fan assembly in the right place for the screw you took out of the duct flapper assembly even though there were several other holes nearby. So I had to drill one. No big deal. Total time: about 9 minutes including taking out and reinstalling the microwave.

Ibelieve this motor has dry bushings which rattle or squeak when machine runs, is this common on this machine. Two hundred $ is pricey for dry bearings
For model number jvm1450wa001
Hello Edward, Thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: exhaust fan motor, magnetron, drive motor and stirrer motor. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, there are YouTube videos available to assist you. Hope this helps!

Vent fan works on low speed but will not work on high speed. Is the problem with the fan motor or with the controls? How do I tell which is the problem?
For model number JVM1540DN1WW
Hi John,
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately only a certified technician would be able to know what to test on these parts to determine which one is not working correctly. Most of the time it does seem to be like your control board that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
