Solved my power problem.
My washer was starting intermittently as of late and when I opened the panel and moved the connection around I noticed it would run again. I figured that the connection on the old cord must have gone bad somehow or the cord itself was just damaged, possibly by a surge or some other issue. Anyway, replaced the cord (really great design...to be able to just unplug an old power cord and replace it with a new one...not a hard-wired component) and now all is well. No more intermittent starts. Only reason I gave 4 not 5 stars was that it seemed to take forever to get to me. Other than that, great part/service. Thanks!

Just what I needed!
This was just what I needed to replace the power cord in an older Whirlpool washer. Repair took no more than 5 minutes and we were back up and running.

Noticed agitator wasnt moving during wash and rinse cycles. Prior to repair no strange smell or noises
Went online to Parts Select and typed in Model #. Looked thru repair help and found very simular problems. I did disassemble the upper prtion of the aggitator by removing softner dispenser. Once inside I used a shoe string and routed it thru the two handles on the plastic cover and pulled up moderately, exposing the cam and doggs. I u

sed a 7/16" socket on a 6" xtension to reach the mounting bolt. Slowly turn bolt counter-clockwise holding the lower agitator. Once the mounting bolt was out I temporarily replaced the plastic cover. I pulled up on the UPPER agitator to completely remove it from the tub. Once set on a firm surface I again pulled out the plastic cover ,bolt and cam cover, exposing the cam and dogs. I shook them out. I replaced everything with what was included in the agitator repair kit ( great kit). Everything for assembly is as the instructions state and totaly a reverse process. Take care not to over tighten the bolt. I did take this oppurtunity to clean the tub and agitators. I did also remove the lower agitator to clean the area. Thanks Parts Select!
