When applying the gas to the large, front-right side burner, gas can be heard during the first part "High" of the turn (0° to 90°) and stops from "Medium" (~180° and on counterclockwise).
Q1) Is it most likely that my problem lies in the tubes (5-16 & 5-17) or in the mechanism (5-6 expen$ive!!)?
Q2) If it is in 5-6, should I be able to replace that part (there are no Samsung repair folk within 3 hours of our house)?
Thanks
For model number NX58K9850SG
Hello Joost, thank you for contacting us. The issue is most probably related to the gas valve, part number PS11720725, as it controls the flow of gas. You replace the gas valve by first removing the grate and burners and unscrewing to remove the range top. Remove the knobs and remove the front panel. Unscrew the gas valve for the tube. Deattach the gas valve from the spark switch and replace it. We hope that helps!
