broken bottom drawer glide and missing rivet on drawer front panel
Removed the old, broken drawer glide by removing the Phillips head screw. Then placed the new glide into place and fastened with the existing screw.
The rivet on the top of the bottom drawer front was missing. I lined up the drawer front with the supporting bracket behind it and inserted the rivet. All you have to do is tap the top of the pin in the center of the rivet to lock it in place. No rivet tool is needed. That should be explained in the parts listing because I bought the rivet tool before I realized I didn't need it.
Oven would not ignite for BAKE. Gas would come on and igniter would "click" twice, then when burner did not light up gas went off.
Bought new igniter. Pulled stove from wall and turned off gas and disconnected power cord. Removed oven racks. Removed oven floor. Removed heat shield/dissipater thing. Removed 2 screws holding igniter to gas burner tube. Disconnected the wire (this was harder than expected because igniter had only a few inches slack in the wires), took off back to try to find better access to wires, no help there, door was not easily removable so difficult to reach in with 2 hands to pull wires apart, eventually I got it. Connected new wires. Replaced igniter to feeder tube with 2 screws. Plugged back in, turned gas back on and tested. Reassembled heat shield thing, oven floor, racks. Done.
Remove vent trim from oven and set oven glass to the side. Next remove handle from vent trim (two screws). Next place handle on new vent trim. Place glass in place, (it is held in place by bottom of oven door and vent trim). next place side trim in place and place that side of the vent trim and loosely tighten screw holding trim into place at top of the glass. Next place the other trim into place under the vent trim and tighten the screws on both sides.
Removed two screws holding the bottom in, pulled out old bottom, inserted new bottom, replaced screws and tightened them. Total time less than five minutes.
Removed drawer, after removing the 50# of junk in the drawer, Used screw driver to remove screw that holds glide to drawer and then place new part into place put screw into hole and tightened screw. Replaced drawer and told wife not to put 50# of junk back into the drawer.
very intermittent oven won't light. Can hear gas and spark but won't light when spark isn't at ignitor tip (shorting somewhere before the tip)
Remove; Bottom drawer- pull open and lift up slightly when fully open then pull the drawer the rest of the way out. Unplug ignitor terminal- there is a small tang inside the terminal end that needed pressed out of the small hole of the ignitor, with a pick. Oven racks. Oven bottom- 2 long phillips screws at the back. lift the back up 1st then the front comes up and out. Burner diffuser- 2 small phlilips at front (they only prevent the diffuser from sliding, they don't screw into anything). slide diffuser forward out of the notch then lift the front up. pull rear tabs out of the notches to completely remove. Ignitor- two 8mm (5/16) bolts holding ignitor to burner. pull ignitor out of guide holes. Reverse to install new ignitor.
Wrestled with it for ten minutes and then watched a youtube video on how to set the locks on the oven door hinges in order for the door to be installed. The video was instrumental
Oven door hinge spring was broken and made the door heavy to open and close
I took the door off the oven frame by releasing the hinge latches and lifting and pulling the door outward to remove it . Then I removed the glass outer cover by taking off the philips screws and then unscrewed the door hinges . I then reversed the order to replace it .
