REPLACING burner head and ignitor
Remove the screw on the front of each side, also there are two screws holding the burner controls. Remove the burner knobs. There are two screws holding the burner head to the top of the burner panel, looking down on the burner head, these will not come out easily. Here's where the drill comes in. Drill the two screws head off, there are
... Read more two gas line connections that must be removed, be careful not to twist the gas line. Remove the burner head and replace with the new one. When replacing the burner head, screw the gas line to the burner head first, then to the main gas control.
Head burner had something spilled on it which stained it and left a large dark brown spot
Simply remove two screws take old one off and line up and put new one on and replace the two screws. Couldn't have been easier.

What is the part number for the two t15 torx screws used to fasten the burner base? They are not shown in any of your diagrams!
For model number MGT8775XW01
Hello Paul, Thank you for contacting us. I have researched the model you have provided and have found the part you are looking for is PartSelect Number PS11741257. We hope this helps.
I am looking at PS11754347 to replace the 4" diameter burner head on my gas range. The reason is the burner flame will initially burn clean blue but after a while start hissing and burn yellow.
The hold down screws on the existing burner head are corroded to the point that the screw heads are gone so the burner head can be removed. The screw remnants are corroded in place and cannot be removed. Without the hold down screws to hold it flush, the existing burner head appears to be warping under the burner cap creating the hiss and yellow flame.
Will a new burner fix this problem even if it cannot be installed with the hold down screws?
For model number JDR8895AAS
Hi Glenn, thank you for reaching out. According to our research on the model, the Burner Head appears to be faulty and you may need to replace it with part number PS11754347. If the screws are also corroded, replace them with part number PS11742240. If you need help placing an order, customer service is available 7 days a week. Glad to be of help!
