First I completely emptied out all the inside of the refrigerator door to lighten the weight of the door. Then I removed the 3 screws on top of the fridge which held the door in place. It was pretty easy to lift up the door and remove it from the bottom hinge. I removed and replaced the door closure and re-assembled the door.
Unfortunately that didn't fix the issue. The door still doesn't close on it's own. The door doesn't get lifted up at all when I open it so I assume that the counterpart to the door closure within the door itself is broken.
First, I removed everything from the door shelves. Next, I loosened the screws around the door, under the seals, pulled the seals out and slid the new ones into place. It couldn't have been easier. There is no need to remove the door liner. It's like having a new refrigerator.
I was surprised, when my parts arrived 3 days after I ordered them. The cost was less than half, compared to our local parts house.
First I removed the old handle by removing the 3 screws holding it in place. There are 2 on the top and 1 at the side of the door. When I began to put the new handle on it became apparent that the metal frame inside the handle was not aligned perfectly with the old screw holes. The plastic is not even with the door horizontally on the top, but it fits otherwise. Be careful not to over tighten the screws when installing. Pretty easy overall.
Door handle was damaged during move from another house to my house.
removed 3 phillips jead screws. removed old hangle. cleaned around the site of old grime./ smile. positioned new handle, applied the 3 screws, tightened, and " whalah" like new.
Trial and error. IT would have been nice to have instructions with the part. Tried to install the gasket withour completely removing the frame. Wasn't happening. Finally removed the frame and repair went fairly well.
use kitchen knife to pry out. replaced switch assemble and pressed back into place. Could not have done this with out help from previous customers. Thanks
changed the light bulb still would not work so I figured it was the switch sure enough.
I took a chance and ordered a switch that is next to the top of the door. looked for how to remove it easily done in ten minutes works fine last long time.
