First I removed two screws holding the old slide rail in place. Then I pulled the old rail off and putt the new rail in place, then putt the two screws back in place. Then I took the drawer roller off the old rail and screwed in place on the new rail. Very easy !
both rails on the crispers broke, and the handles were cracked
unscrewed the side rail and rotated it to remove it from the rest of the assembly. Then ran the humidity tape through the new one and screwed it on. put it back in the ref and put the glass back on and the drawers and it was done!
removed the old handles and replace with the new. It was all very simple.
Generally, refrigerator gaskets are a royal pain--the only reason anyone would go through this is that a $70 part beats the price of a new fridge and the aggravation of moving the old one out and a new one in! Went reasonably well as I had the proper tools, and experience, and the time to devote to the project---I would suggest getting it installed, loading the door as you usually do and then using the hair dryer with everything in place to form the gasket to specific usage and loading of the appliance.
The freezer part of the refrigerator would intermittently get too warm and too cold.entl y
The hardest part of the repair was how to remove the panel the part was behind. Once we figured out where it was (behind the temperature controls in the front of the refrigerator), it was very easy to take out the old & install the new. Works perfect now.
My friend tore into the thermostat and found it no longer was working so we go onto the chat line askeing questions and ordered the part expecting it in 4-5 days standard delivery. The part arrived in two days. He attached it quickly and it is working perfectly. I will order again if I have appliance problems. I love the chat thing. Repair time with tare down and put back together probably less than one hour.
Light switch wasn't working.. As I would close the door I would notice our frig light wasn't going off...
I simply removed the old switch by gently pulling down on the old switch with a screwdriver. When it was about half way out I just gently pulled down on the old switch and it popped out... I removed the two connectors attached to the old switch by pulling on the connectors with a pliers...I tried using my fingers but wasn't able to pull the connectors off so I used pliers. It worked perfectly.. When pulling off the old connectors, make sure you attach the new switch to the same tabs on the new switch... It was very easy to do and took under 5 mins.....The light switch works perfect....P.S. You should unplug the frig while making the connection just in case....Safety first....!!!
Despite a long delay due to a lack of stock on hand, the correct part arrived and matched in color. It came without the little rectangular plastic cap or cover for the bottom bolt, so it was good to have kept the old handle and plastic cap on hand. I imagine other owners might have thrown out a broken part, bolts and cap in the meantime. Strictly the handle arrived, but it was easy to install. I'm grateful for a part I wasn't sure could be found.
inserted a knife between the switch and the plastic interior in order to pop the switch out. then took off the 2 wires on the old switch put them on the new switch and reinserted the switch into the plastic interior.
New seal arrived basically folded in half for shipping. Was advised to use hair dryer and/or hot water to restore original shape. Neither worked. I installed it anyway and am waiting (3 days so far) for it to seal (so far, no luck). I'll give it another day or 2, re-install the old one and write off the $75
Refrigerator quit cooling and the freezer wasn't freezing anything
Order the part from the Internet on Sunday, it mailed out on Monday and I received it on Tuesday. I unplugged the fan then undone 3 screws that held the fan bracket to the refrigerator pulled it out unscrewed 3 more nuts and replaced the fan on the bracket and I cut the old wire plug off the old fan and with 2 wire nuts put it on my new fan. Replaced the fan and bracket back on the refrigerator plugged it in and it works like a new refrigerator.
