With the axle dislodged from the housing we were able to install the wheel and then hammer the end of the axle flat to keep in place, like the original rivet installation. Ice maker was over flowing filling the freezer with water and ice.
As per suggestion I replaced the water inlet valve. I pulled out the refrigerator and removed the cardboard panel. I removed the water inlet unit by removing two screws. I used pliers to take off the the tubes to the ice maker and the water. Then removed the inlet supply tube. Installation was the reverse process.

What I really needed was the ice maker module. So I need to order the right one and I can't return the wrong part because I installed it. So I just left the lever in the ice maker in the up postion. the ice maker is still not working.
