Well it was quite simple to replace all I used was a long Phillips screw driver, the job only took me 10 minutes to complete, thank you so much for the part you sent me it was the correct part.
FIrst of all I would like to say I was amazed at the quick service we received. I ordered the part at 1:00 pm on a Tuesday and my husband called me at 4:30 on Wednesday that the part had been delivered!! I was amazed.
My husband actually installed the bake element and it only took him a few minutes, the hardest part according to him was actually seperating the prongs of the old piece from the conncetion. Being that our oven is 24 years old could have something to do with that. Everything works just fine.
I am very glad to have found your company on the Web and have told everyone I know about your service.
First I removed the two screws, then I pulled old element out, placed the new element in. Returned the screws in place. Very easy, cheaper to get online than anywhere else and was faster to get the part than anywhere else.
First I removed the two screwes that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires from the old element, then I connected the two wires to the new oven heating element. Pushed the unit back in place and reinstalled the two screws that hold it in place.( ALL Done)
Made sure that "Breaker" for oven is in the off positon.
Opened oven door to the first "stay open" position...lifted door straight up...and off of the hinges....which removes the door....and allows easier access to oven.
Removed oven racks
Removed two philips head
Pulled burned out element toward the front of the oven.....exposing the two connector wires.
Used pliers to pull wire connectors from burner element connectors.
Reversed the order of this process....to install new element.
I removed the screws that hold the element in place . Pulled the element out enough to disconnect the two wires . I then connected the new wires and pushed in the element . I finished off by screwing the bolts back in place.. Voila!!!!!!! I was in business once more! The part arrived within 48 hours and was very reasonably priced
The information provided us through other customers really helped us. My husband is NOT a handyman and does not like to do these type of jobs. However he decided to attempt it. He likes step by step instructions from the company, however following other customers advice worked great. We where real pleased with how quick we received the replacement glass.
