Easy Repair, great part
Exactly what I needed to fix our Thermador SGCS304RS back right burner after my wife had a boil-over that drowned the previous potentiometer. Super easy installation.

Salvation!
Bosch discontinued this potentiometer, leaving us cooktop owners high and dry. Fortunately, you had a supply by a different manufacturer. Replacement worked beautifully!

Part discontinued by Bosch. Found replacement part at Parts Select
Removed knobs and venturies. Unplugged electrical inputs. Lifted top plate. Replaced potentiometer. Replaced parts and plugged in electric supplies. Tested. Piece of cake, except for locating replacement potentiometer.

Front center burner won't ignite. I can hear the clicking noise and see the spark but no gas going to burner. What parts do i need and what steps do i take to fix it? Thank you
For model number SGCS365RS
Hello Chuck, thank you for your question. I would suggest checking the valve part number 00411253 as well as the POTENTIOMETER 00422749. To replace the potentiometer, you will want to shut the power off to the unit. Remove the grates, caps and knobs. Loosen the large brass nuts/cylinders using an adjustable wrench then you can twist them off by hand. Tilt the front edge of the range up about six inches and prop it up with a block of wood. Lift the the old potentiometer's plastic dust shield and take the old potentiometer off the valve shaft. Disconnect the wire connector fitting and connected the fitting to the new potentiometer. Reinstall everything in the reverse order. Unfortunately, we don't have an installation instructions on replacing the valve. I hope this information helps!

The front center burner is not getting gas to ignite. The ignighter is clicking and i can see the spark arcing. What do i need to fix it and how do i do it?
For model number SGCS365RS
Hello Chuck, thank you for your question. This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty solenoid valve part number 00411253, not allowing gas to pass through, or the POTENTIOMETER part number 00422749 . I would replace the POTENTIOMETER first, as it is the least expensive part. I hope this helps!

Good afternoon. The potentiometer went out on 2 burners of my Thermador Rangetop, PCS366, purchased in 2000. Repair person said that Thermador not making the part anymore. The part, according to them is Bosch Part #00189816
I assume you don't have this part. Do you know of a part that could be used instead that would in fact work, either made by Thermador/Bosch or another company? Someone said part 00422748 by Bosch might work but repair person reluctant said would be a lot of work to take apart range top and then find out it doesn't work. Open to any brand replacement that would work. Thank you.

Hi. I replaced the two potentiometers on the stove with this replacemnt, as the gas would not go to the two left burners. But it did not solve the problem. Any suggestion for an alternative part that might be bad, causing those to burners not to operate at all?
For model number PRSG304S Thermador Range
Hello Edward, thank you for your question. We would recommend checking the burn valve that releases gas to that side of the unit. I hope this helps!
