2-Speed Drive Motor with Jumper Wire Specifications

This two speed split phase washing machine motor performs 1725 revolutions per minute in one speed and 1140 revolutions per minute in the other speed. This motor runs at 1/2 horsepower and it carries 8.0 amps. It's a good idea to change your washer's belts at the same time as you replace this motor, as they may have become worn as well.

the motor burnt out
took washer into the garage, removed front cover & disconnected the wiring. Then i removed the motor assembly. Piece of cake to finish job.

Motor Froze
Make sure to release the springs and pulleys before you try to tackle the bolts that hold the motor base to the bottom of the washer. Mine were a bit rusty and took some force to break loose. Also it's a good idea to take pictures of how everything sits before you disassemble as the pictures in the repair kit are not very clear. Other than that it was pretty straight forward. Wiring was a breeze. . . . Good luck

Washer intermittently will not agitate. Have replaced belts, guides and springs. Will start agitating after i pull on motor housing. Is this a motor issue?

I just replaced my drive motor with the single speed motor. Before the replacement it would not start, after i now have washing and water pumping but no spin cycle. Do i need the two speed motor?
