Fixed my non agitating and free spinning agitator
Part was good quality. I popped the cap off agitator and used a 12inch extension to reach 3/8 bolt. Took off agitator and flipped upside down. I then used 4 flathead screwdrivers to depress tabs then turned over and used a long screwdriver to push out old agitator coupling. Flawless. Wiped everything down and then pushed new agitator coupling in place. PERFECT! put everything back together and washer worked better than the first day of use! Thank you PART SELECT!!!

Agitator free spins
This was one easy job and saved me money by doing it myself, First I unplugged the washer for safety, then I removed the Agitator by grabbing the base of the agitator with both hands and pulling up I set the agitator a side and removed the one bolt holding the agitator coupling in place. the replacement coupling was a little tight when I

Inner Tub Base Hub replacement
The tub base hub developed a large crack and spin started to make a large vibration. Agitator coupling was frozen, so I broke it by dremel, wedge (a minus driver) and a hammer. The hub nut was also frozen, so I cut two slits into the nut with dremel, then broke it into two with a wedge and a hammer. Once the hub nut was removed installing

I think I should have bought a new washer half year ago but now that the repair has been done, I hope it will keep working for at least another 5 years. Otherwise I can't justify the $300 cost.
I paid over $100 several years ago to have this same repair done by an appliance repairman. I did it myself this time for less than $20. Definitely watch the installation video before you start. Washer wouldn’t agitate.
Watched a how to video. Pulled the agitator. Determined that the agitator coupling was worn out. Matched the old agitator coupling to new replacement one. Ordered it. Pushed the new agitator coupling onto the fitting. Secured it with the old bolt. Replaced the agitator. Repaired.

Agitator Coupling Replacement..
Pry the cap off of the top of the agitator, then one 7/16 bolt to remove the agitator (takes around 15" of extensions to reach the bolt and there is a small o-ring under the bolt that you don't want to miss). The hard part is getting the old coupler out of the agitator. Four lock tabs need to be held back while the coupler is pulled
... Read more out. I warmed it all up with a heat gun, pried the tabs back with screw drivers, and pulled the coupler out with a pair of Channel Locks. Kinda like pulling a very big tooth. After that, all was easy. Line the new coupler up with the locator splines in the agitator, knock it in with a rubber mallet. Slide the agitator back on the shaft, run the bolt back in and tighten (don't forget the o-ring), pop the cap back on. Done.
Removed agitator with rope idea. One quick jerk and it came off. Removed coupling. Replaced with new coupling. Reinstalled agitator. Works fine. Note: I could not see anything wrong with the old coupling. It looked brand new with no noticeable wear!! Thanks for your help in recommending the part that most likely would fix the proble

Noisy while spinning
I dissasembled the machine and it took about 30 minutes. Orderd the parts recommended for noisy spinning. Reinstalled the new parts / changed all drum straps. Cleaned the drain drum and spin drum and after complete reassembly the washer is still noisy in agitation and spin cycle. The motor, transmission, counter weight, and drum look ok but
... Read more there is still a reason why the machine is still noisy. Spent 120.00 dollars on parts so far but the drum and motor, transmission and counterweight are very expensive to replace. I am just going to keep using the machine until the washer fails to work anymore. I'm not going to put any more money in the washer. I will just buy a new one. It's not hard to dissasembled and reassemble the washer. I purchased the parts that was recommended to fix the washer but they were not the ones. The new parts did help like the tub seal but the bottom line is that the washer is still noisy. I watched your videos to work on the washer and there were no special instructions on disassembly and reassembly. Like always there must be more than i know to repair this washer. Thanks

The agitator would not spin and it was due to a coupling that was worn down to the nubs
Pulled the agitator off by hand. Loosened the screw on top of the coupling and pulled old coupling off by hand. Replaced part with new coupling and socketed it in place. Replaced agitator by-hand by simply pushing it down on top of coupling making sure the plastic teeth aligned.

Is there another reason why the agitator will not function other then the agitating coupling
For model number WDSR2120J8WW
Hi Riley,
Thank you for your question. If the washer is not agitating, there are some other parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check the belt, the agitator, the inner tub base hub, the tub dampening straps, the transmission and brake assembly and the lid switch. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Leaks on agitation cycle, makes funny sound, makes loud noise on spin, and rubber burn smell with large loads.
For model number GTWN4250D0WS
Hello David, Thank you for the question. We suggest replacing the Tub Seal, PartSelect Number PS4704237. The main tub seal is located between the transmission and the outer tub. Its the primary water seal in the outer tub for the transmission-shaft. If your washer is leaking during the fill cycle, or at agitation time, your tub seal may need to be replaced. When the Seal is worn or damaged, it can also cause the appliance to make noise. We hope this helps!
