FR Burner out and range hood switches broken
pulled oven out in the open, unplugged from outlet, removed two white front side panels, removed four screws on sides, unplugged range from harness, removed top, unscrewed two metal clips that hold element in place, gently removed wires from element using a small screwdriver and needle nose pliers and attached each one to the new element

as it was removed. Reinstalled as I took apart. For the range hood, I unplugged the hood, removed the covers to the switch box and used a small screw driver to open/destroy the old switch and to save the tinned wires. I then pushed in the wires into the new switch as I removed them from the old one. Should be careful to only snug up the hex nuts as the plastic switch stem will probably break easily with a little force.

our glass top range burner did not work
We looked online for instructions, not sure how to "lift" the glass top.... There were 2 screws/hex head at the front of the range under the top that when removed allowed the top to be lifted up ..... the elements are on the underside, and with the removal of a few screws and unplugging the element connections (real easy) the burned out e

The left rear element failed
First , I turned off the circuit breaker to the oven.
Next, I removed the two screws at the front of the range top and slid the top out until I could disconnect the multi-plug connecting the wiring harness to the stove.
I then took the entire top out to a table and set it upside down. It was easy to unbolt and disconnect the le ... Read more ad to the element. One of the leads was burnt, so I had to replace it. I slid the new element into place, bolted it down in the same orientation as the old one and reconnected the leads.
I slid the entire top back into place on the range and re-installed the securing screws. Then I flipped on the circuit breaker and turned the element on.
Success! Perhaps I didn't really need to change the element since the burnt lead was the cause of failure. But its good to have a new part installed anyway.

Broiler Element was snapped in to two pieces
The toughest part was seeing the two screws in the dark rear of the oven, so a good flashlight with adjustable beam is helpful. After removing the pots and pan drawer from it's tracks, take the opportunity to clean out that space underneath the drawer when you unplug the oven. Once that was done, I removed the bracket screws holding t

he broken broiler element on the roof of the oven and the two screws holding the element in the rear of the oven. It's an uncomfortable reach so, setting a flashlight on the open over door helped me see what I was doing. The element slides right out of the holes from with in the insulation behind the oven's rear panel. Each side is connected to a wire pin that may need a good tug with pliers to slip the wire clip off the old element end. The new element connected right to the old wire clips with ease. You may have to jiggle the element end as you poke it back through the hole into the insulation where it came from. The element ends screwed right back into it's original position with the old screws. I slipped the roof bracket over the new element and reattached to the oven roof. I plugged the oven back in, replaced the drawer on it's tracks, tested the broiler and it works like a charm. Total time 35 minutes.

Hot Plate wouldn't heat, element burned out
Moved Oven from wall, removed eight screws holding down the Burner Top. Lifted Top and held it up to remove two screws on the side of the element. Disconnected four wires, replaced element, connected the four wires again and assembled in reverse mode of dissasembly. All went pretty simple, moving oven from wall and adjusting/level it back

The large burner had quit on smooth top range.
We removed 4 screws that let us raise the top of the stove. It was then very easy for my husband to remove the old burner and replace the new one. By ordering this part from you and installing it ourselves, we saved $248 from the quote we received from our "Maytag Repairman". Can't beat a deal like this and it was so easy.

I have just replaced the switch, part # 7403p239-60, because the element would not come on. This did not fix it. Would the next step be to replace the burner unit? It's the 8", right front one.
