Might have been the problem, maybe not
I bought this and the high limit switch, pretty sure it was the high limit switch but I replaced both, just in case. Good news is the dishwasher is heating and drying again!

My dishwasher fails on the sanitizing cycle. I measured the temperature of the water at one point during the wash cycle and it was only 119 degrees f. So i assumed that the heating element is not working. I measured the resistance of the heating element and got 15 ohms. Is this what it is supposed to be? The incoming water is at 124 degrees f. If the heating element was broke i would have thought the resistance would be very high. So i am not sure what is going on.

Hello Frank, thank you for writing. When testing the resistance of the dishwasher's Heater Element, you should receive a reading somewhere in between infinity and zero for it to be functioning properly. So your Heater Element tested okay. You will want to consider replacing either the High Limit Thermostat, part number PS11743423, or the Vent Assembly, part number PS11741358 for your model dishwasher from what you are describing. You should receive a reading of 0 when testing the High Limit Thermostat at room temperature with a multimeter. I hope this helps!
