Is a thermostat the same thing as a temperature sensor? My oven is getting too hot
For model number Wde34302
Hello September, Thank you for the question. The Thermostat and the Sensor are two different parts. The Sensor is the probe in the oven that detects the temperature. The Thermostat is a small round part that is similar to a fuse. Hope this helps!

My oven heats up fine , but then shuts off around 350 degrees, if we wait 10 minutes or open the door it will start up again. Anything under 350 seems to be fine, could it be the sensor?
For model number IHE82301
Hello Jason,
Thank you for your question. Yes, our sources suggest replacing the oven sensor for your model under part PS11749737 to fix the issue. Hope this helps!
