This OEM ball bearing plays a crucial role in supporting and enabling the rotation of the wheel in walk-behind blowers. It is a metal ring housed within a protective casing that enables the well to spin freely while supporting the weight of the blower. Over time the bearing may wear down, due to age, corrosion, or inadequate lubrication. If the bearing is faulty, you will notice increased resistance when moving your equipment, excessive noise, and wheel instability. To remove and replace the wheel bearing, first, disassemble the wheel assembly to access the bearing. Remove the old bearing by carefully prying it off using a bearing puller. Clean the wheel hub thoroughly and apply a small amount of lubrication to the new bearing. Press the bearing onto the wheel and secure it with the appropriate fasteners. Reassemble the wheel assembly and give the blower a test run to ensure the wheel can rotate freely.
