Broken hanging rail for drawer in refrigerater
First I removed 2 screws and removed broken railing then placed new railing ad screwed in new screws then replaced drawer into railings. Thank you so much for the excellent service in geting me the correct part in a timely manner.
The tip of the braket broke and would not longer hold the meat drawer
First, my husband removed the shelf assembly. Then he unscrewed the boken bracket. He then screwed in the new bracket and proceeded to install thecomplete shelf assembly back into the fridge. Placed the meat drawer back into correct location, to fit back into rail brackets. All done.
Placed end cap on one end of rack and attached to one side of the door by applying hand pressure. Inserted the other end of the rack into the end cap' and again applied hand pressure to insert into slot, Repairs completed.
the refrig was in storage for about a year, the freezer door warped
removed freezer door and installed the new one. This was a pretty easy thing to do, although putting the old handle on the new door was a challenge. No knowing that there is a plastic piece holding the top of the handle i broke the that piece and had to order another one. Mean while the freezer was making alot of frost inside, so that had to be cleaned after the new part came.
end piece broken that held bar on freezer door shelf
attached the bar to the end piece and slipped it into the proper opening. Easy I ordered the piece one morning and received it the next morning. Great service.
1. Turned off the cooling cycle and unplugged the refrigerator. 2. Removed all of the shelving and bottom basket. 3. Removed rear covering in the freezer section. 4. If frosted over, manually defrost coils with hairdryer. 5. Located original thermostat and after marking the wire locations cut the wires and removed the Thermostat. 6. Connected matching wires using a lighter to melt the wires together. Wrapped repaired wires with electricians tape. 7. Unable to install the thermostat in the recommended location (freezer is a tight fit) the new part was installed at the original location. 8. Replaced the rear cover and shelves. 9. Plugged in the refrigerator and set the cycle back to cooling. 10. Monitored freezer coils couple of days/weeks depending on how fast they freeze over (slots at bottom of cover) to validate if problem solved.
Temperature in both freezer and fridge sections to warm!
Dear Part-select, I had a fridge that was not working food was melting in the freezer, Beer was warm. You get the picture anyway using your site I found the parts needed to to fix the issue in fact I ordered two parts one fixed the issue 50% and the other like 30% of the time! both parts with overnight shipping were cheaper than 1 part if purchased at our local appliance part outlet:) not to mention the cost of a repair person. Thanks again! . Keep up the good work

The meat drawer is already pulled out because the broken rail could not support it. 1st I removed the shelf. Then I removed the 2 screws connecting the rail to the shelf. I then replaced the rail, screwed it together and put the shelf back in place. I put the meat drawer back on the rails and it's done.
A little research told me the hum plus no cooling was either the compressor or the relay. I ordered the new relay and put it in but it didn't fix the problem. I ended up having to buy a new fridge, but it was worth the $30 gamble to see if I could fix it on the cheap and it saved me the money a service call would've cost. Pretty easy installation, just in a tight space on my model.
Missing refrigerator shelf rack from rental property refrigerator
I want to start by saying that I am female and want to let all females know that we can do home repairs! My story is not just about the repair but the wonderful customer service at PartsSelect.com. I have used them MANY times to order missing parts for appliances (I own rental property and tenants are always "losing" or breaking appliance parts). This particular time was the first time I received an incorrect part...not sure if it was my ordering or the wrong part was shipped. I contacted PartsSelect.com by email and got a REAL response within 24 hours. The customer service person who responded, immediately credited my account and "found" the correct part to order and less than 48 hours after my first email to them, my new part is already on it's way! I know it will only take minutes to finish my repair and am really impressed with their response time and professionalism when there is a problem. As a rental property owner, I will continue to use and recommend PartSelect.com.
I snapped one of the end caps in, put the rack rail into the cap, placed the other cap on the other end, and snapped that end in. Because I received the exact parts needed, the entire repair took about one minute.
