Light switch prevented door from closing.
The switch prevented the door from closing about 5 years ago. So I just taped the switch down, and lived without a fridge light for the last 5 years. Painful! And wasteful (food spoiled because we couldn't see it.) Thought I was out of luck, assuming light switches were all the same, got fed up again, and pulled out old switch,,and searched the net for the part number, and just started calling the manufacturer. I got this website after no luck in calling, and took the step to order...and in no time, got it replaced, and we cam see now! It feels like we got a new fridge!
the refrigerator door was hard to close, and upon inspection I finally decided that the light switch was making the door hard to close.
I removed the door actuated light switch with my index finger and thumb on my right hand. I then removed the two wires from the switch. I noticed that the new switch had different look to it,I think Frigidaire must have had a problem with the original design of the switch. Reassembly was just replacing the two wires and putting the new switch in place, and no more door closing problem.
frezzer iceing over and not cooling the refrigerator
Just removed the two screws and unpluged it. Then I pluged the new one in and replaced the screws. It runs like a brand new reffrigerator. Thanks for the fast delevery. Will do busness with you in the future.
Freezer built ice, fridge not cold enough and running constantly.
Removed front low grill, removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the wires. Reversed process to install new timer.
took 4 screws out of the discharge vent on top of the refrigerator section and unpluged the wiring harness and put the section on the counter and unscrewed the timer and put the new one in and reinstalled the assembly and plugged the Jack and put the 4 screws back in, and rotated the timer and put it on defrost removed the back and check the heaters and drain .
Freezer was frosting up and refrigerator was not getting cold.
All 3 parts were very easy to replace. Thawing out the freezer took the most time. Great videos that go with each part for installation. I will be purchasing again from this company when needed.
while cleaning the condenserI accidentally hit the fan blade and broke it
Had my 3 year old remove the 4 screws to holds the carboard in place. Pryde the old fan blade off with a screwdriver. slid the new fan blade on to the shaft then my 3 year old put the screws back in.
Defros timer was easy I finished it in about 15 minuts but the defrost themostat was hard.I had ploblems with the wire conectors and the tape I had to use Twist-on wire connectors.I hope I will not have problems later. So far 1 week later it is working.I can't belive $50 saves me $600.Thanks to Part Select for the video and how fast they shipping my parts in less than 2 days.
Not long after we bought this fridge, the plastic on the light switch cracked, making the lever stick out too much so that the door wouldn't close. It's been taped down ever since. I simply pulled the old switch out and plugged the new one in. I'm kicking myself that I didn't do this ages ago. It was so easy and now I can see inside my refrigerator again.
unplugged frig, removed bottom front cover and loosend 2 screws at bottom front left and slid defrost timer out from behind metal panel, unplugged the old and plugged in the new.frig works great.
