REMOVED PANEL COVER [ 4 SCREWS] UNSCREWED 2 SCREWS ON LATCH DOOR ON THIS MODEL THE PART WAS IN TOO TIGHT OF QUARTERS SO I HAD TO LOOSEN A TOP PANEL SO I COULD RAISE PART HIGH ENOUGH TO RELEASE IT FROM A CATCH AT THE BACK OF THE PART. PUSH PART BACK, RAISE AND PULL FORWARDS. REMOVED 4 WIRES ONE AT A TIME AND ATTACHING TO NEW PART. REPLACED PART, TIGHTEN TOP PANEL AND REPLACED PANEL COVER.
Should be about 1 5/8 inch with 3/8 inch prongs. Sent bulb won’t fit. JennAire book showed Part 74004458-halogen bulb part PS 11765655 was substituted. I paid additional shipping so my son could install when here. My husband and I are 79 and unable to bend into the oven. I need the correct part where do I return the unopened $29.95 bulb for credit on my card and receive the correct one????? Carolyn Sanders 817-319-6581 Order 21938961
I tryed to remove the sensor from the oven by removing the screws inside the oven. Unfortunatly, the plug for the sensor would not reach the inside of the oven. I had to remove the oven from the wall and remove the back cover to ac3ess the sensor wiring. After that it was a snap.
EASILY REMOVED GLASS COVER INSIDE OVEN AND REMOVED SMALL HALOGEN LIGHT BULB. RECEIVED REPLACED WITHIN TWO DAYS OF ORDER AND REPLACED BULB AND GLASS COVER IN ABOUT 10 MINUTES. MOST DIFFICULTY WAS HAVING TO BEND DOWN TO REACH INSIDE OF OVEN TO LOCATE POSITION TO INSERT BULB.
Could not complete the repair due to broken part when arrived. Reached out to service department but have not heard back. Maybe email did not go through due to pictures attached of part condition once arrived.
Since I have All Whirlpool appliances in the home, the only one not a Whirlpool was a counter top dishwasher that looks exactly like it could be a Whirlpool and so not to be the odd unit out, I labeled it with with a Whirlpool logo nameplate on the face of the door. Now everything matches perfectly and all in the same exact color white too.
Just measured and marked where the plate was to be located, cleaned that part of the surface, peeled the backing and carefully placed the logo name plate in place and pressed it on. Voila. Done and looks original as well. Call me the big, deep fakearooski.
This was easy to replace. I removed the oven door for easier access to the back of the oven. Removed two Phillips head screws that hold the burner element and disconnected the two wires on the burner element. I could have left the wires connected, but it was easier to extract the sensor with it out of the way. The only difficulty was fishing the sensor connector out through the hole. After that, easy peezy.
Easy peasy. After using the shop vac to remove the glass fragments, 8 Phillips head screws were all that I had to remove. The schematic on this website was close enough, but I recommend taking pictures as you disassemble.
Caveat: I took it apart several days before I got the part, so I had plenty of time for my forgetter to work.
I spoke to Daily via the phone and I ordered a new steamer since my original steamer cracked over a period of time. No installation, no problems I just recently used it and works perfectly! Thank You!
We ordered element support 3 times and all three times it came broken. The part is made of porcelain and is fragile , representative asked warehouse to pack it in the box and part still came in envelope. Requested refund and ordered directly from factory.
We had to remove screws from the vent covers above and below the microwave, then there were 2 screws (one on each side) that attached the microwave to the oven. Once all of the screws were removed we had to pull the microwave out. Then we pulled the light cord out, removed the burnt out light and installed the new one. Then reversed the steps.
