Machine would not power up
This is a long, sad story, but I'll cut to the chase. I was told by few appliance repair guys that my problem was most likely due to the motor being bad. I had checked the thermal fuse, the door switch, and the power switch, and all were good so that made sense. I then saw a video which made it seem fairly straight forward to remove the old motor and replace it. So I ordered the motor from Part Select. Turns out it's impossible to remove the motor without also removing (and replacing) the blower. The video never mentions that. Also FYI, I found out that my dryer switch WAS broken, and nothing was wrong with the motor, so I spent $250 on a repair that should have cost %40. Oh well ...

Dryer would only run for a few mins and then not restart. Also there was a grinding noise.
I replaced the entire motor in the dryer and the belt while I had it open and it is working great! I just watched the short video on the site to learn the tricks and did it myself.

two of the burners were working intermittently
I shut off the breaker checked for power then cut old plugs making sure to allow a little slack. Tightened down wire nuts put on a couple wraps of electrical tape and that was it. Burners work great now I would reccomend this product to anyone with a similar problem.

Dryer buzzed when trying to start
First off, I ordered the part around 1 pm, paid regular shipping, and it was here the very next day! As for the repair, maybe the easiest fix I have done. Make sure the dryer is unplugged, pop the top up and remove the front of the dryer. Take out the pulley (careful it can snap ya) then remove the drum. The snap rings around the motor can be tricky, so be sure to watch the video sent to you from PartSelect. With a couple of wrenches, loosen the motor from the blower and remove. Put new one in and put back together. Piece of cake. Took me about 20-25 mins. This is the best place I've ordered from and will continue to get my supplies here. Good Luck!

noise,motor in-op
took top off, took back off, took lower panel off, removed old motor without taking drum out,got the part # off old motor, looked it up on line then i found the video on how to do the repair...lol. The repair went well and the instructions that came with the new motor were very good as my motor had the old style switch and needed to be rewired. I did go one step further as long as i had it that far apart,I took the duct work apart on the back of the dryer for the vent and I was very glad I did,it had 25 years of lint and all sorts of other thing in it.I cleaned and lubed all other moving parts and reassembled, works and sounds like new !

The surface burner socket that the burner plugs into melted.
Cut the old wires off, removed the screw holding the clamp, installed the new parts. Problems I encountered were the wire nuts. They were too small for the wire gage of the replacement part and the original oven. I had larger wire nuts in my workshop. Also, why so many extra parts like the shrink wrap tubing, two metal clamps to hold the socket, etc.

one burner that would not heat and others that would not out out much heat
I noticed that one of the burner blocks was completely burned and the others were corroded. I ordered blocks for all four burners. Installation was easy except for one block. The screw holding the bracket to the range top was completely corroded in place. I used a correct size easy-out, which is a left hand tap and drill, to remove the screw. That took about five minutes, including tracking the easy-out down in one of my many toolboxes. The entire replacement of four blocks took about one and a half hours. Stove top cooks like new on all burners! The part kit had all the right parts and they fit like a glove!
