Drum noise
Disconnected and moved the unit outside, just to clean the lint out of it. Removed the top, then two screws holding the front panel on. Disconnected the two door switch wires. Peeled off the old upper seal and cleaned surface with wire brush. Applied the supplied glue and clamped the new drum guide in place. While it was setting up, I cleaned out the entire inside of the dryer to eliminate the old trapped lint. Replaced the front panel and mounting screws. Reattached the wires and closed the top. Relocated back inside and plugged it in and reconnected the vent tube. Turned it on and it worked perfectly.
THE PROBLEM: Rust marks in the shape of a V started appearing on my clothes. I finally realized that there was gap at the bottom between the drum and the outer frame that was caused by the upper drum support having deteriorated... Clothing would slip into the gap into the area where the metal of the spinning drum was exposed - then spin upward leaving a small rust mark... INSTALLATION: The video of installing this product was spot-on! I removed the old glide and residual glue (the glue was the hardest part), then put the new glide on. After the glue dried enough to hold the felt in place, I put it all back together. So far, no more rust marks on my clothes!
lifted up the top after releasing 2 catches with the putty knife, removing front panel, held in place with 2 screws. Scrape off top felt strip with the worn teflon tabs. Wire brush off old glue. Apply glue provided.(thin coating). install new felt strip. let the glue dry for a few minutes, reinstall, and you are done.
Removed old pump and re installed a new one, took no more than 20 minutes, the hardest part was re connecting the trap- hose and the drai n,very easy .Just unscrew the two screws holding the pump and replace it with the new
clothes getting caught around drum leaving marks on them
took front off machine removing screws. Removed old felt and cleaned old glue off making sure area was clean. applied new glue and then new felt drum glide. put fish sringer around complete drum pulling tight clamping with vise grips till dry. then put front back on machine.
My dryer's timer knob cracked. It spun in circles but I couldn't press it in or pull it out and start the dryer. Once I got my new knob, I simply pushed it on and it worked! No tools required. It was the easiest repair job I've ever done.
I had this happen a couple years ago so I knew what to do. The hardest part is getting the old glue off. I did that with some nail polish remover and a paint scraper - probably took 20 minutes just to get the glue off. From there, it's just glue on the new one and slap it back together. In hindsight, however, I would've ordered and installed the lower guide as well and done it all at once.
Removing the top and then the front of the dryer went fairly easily after finding the screws. The drum came out with just a little coaxing, does not gets screwed in place. To me the trickiest maneuver was getting my hand under the drum to place the belt over motor pulley and around the tensioner pulley. You must look up an image of the belt routing. It took me forever to figure that out. If not for that, this in a half hr fix. Ps don't forget to unplug the dryer.
released hold down clips on top and removed two screws at the bottom of the front panel and firmly pushed down on the panel to release it exposing the motor drive assembly and idler tension pulley i released tension on the drive belt removed the pulley from the assembly replaced it with the new pulley including the pressure washer which keeps the pulley stable realigned the belt and replaced the front cover and closed the top. done.
Just want to say what a great company to order parts from, I ordered the wrong parts by mistake, broke the part trying to install the incorrect part, emailed customer service and they not only gave me credit for the wrong part I ordered but, also for the shipping...I will definitely be ordering again from this company
