Keep searches simple. Use keywords, e.g. "leaking", "pump", "broken" or "fit".
Refrigerator was not cooling and the motor was running constantly
Having tried PartSelect.com before, I was very comfortable with the process. Input my symptoms and the feed back I received was that one of the 2 things (Defrost Timer or Defrost Thermostat)might need replacement. Since the cost was not much and over night shipping would cost more than the product, I decided to order both the parts. Changing parts was a breeze. The instructions posted by others on your web site were very easy to follow. You guys save me a bundle every time I have any thing going worng with any of my appliances.
Based on the website I decided it was most probably the defrost timer, and that was correct. I ordered it, watched the video, and two days later the part was at my door. Took the nut driver, removed 4 screws, then removed the old defrost timer, installed the new one, re-installed the whole plastic assembly with the four screws, and done!!! Couldn't have been easier.
Two of the end caps of one shelf and one of another were broken
Ordered the pairs of end caps for both the door shelves. The parts arrived the next day. Opened the wrapper slid the end caps on and attached the shelves to the door. Bingo!!! It was that Easy! Done in less than two days and less than $20. It took me some time to figure out if the parts were right though when I searched online.
Just snapped in the wholes and pushed it down a little bit and there it was. It only took 2 minutes. Very simple process- price was supper and delivery was very fast. Thanks guys- will order from you again
End of door shelves broke & were held on by duct tape for a long time
Since the end caps were already broken I just took them out & put the new ones in. Total time to do this was less than 5 minutes. Great parts, great prices & super fast shipping
Temperature in both freezer and fridge sections to warm!
Dear Part-select, I had a fridge that was not working food was melting in the freezer, Beer was warm. You get the picture anyway using your site I found the parts needed to to fix the issue in fact I ordered two parts one fixed the issue 50% and the other like 30% of the time! both parts with overnight shipping were cheaper than 1 part if purchased at our local appliance part outlet:) not to mention the cost of a repair person. Refrigerator started frosting up and running all the time.I'd defrost it and it would frost up again in about a week.The timer seems to be work so I just guest it mite be the Defrost Thermostat.I removed the duck in the center and back panel in the freezer compartment defrosted it and switched Thermostats and replaced panel and duck, going to lower compartment of the refrigerator.So far it seems to be working a little more time while tell.
The plastic ends that held the shelf on broke off, once my new ends came in the mail I had to attach them to the metal bar that holds the condiments in the door's shelf. To do this I had to hammer the ends of the shelf a little to get the caps to fit. Once they were on I put the ends of the caps into the holes on the door and had to push down with some force to get them to snap in. Very easy once I realized I had to push harder than I expected to get them to snap in. It's great to have my shelf back!
